Summer seminar for medical students
A cardiovascular surgery seminar consisting of observing surgeries and intensive lectures for medical students throughout the nation (mainly those in the fourth to sixth years) is held during the second and third weeks of August. Dr. Hiroaki Sasaki is the physician in charge and can be reached at extension 2358. Every year, approximately 20 students participate in this productive and fulfilling summer seminar. Approximately 20% of participants later choose careers in the field of cardiovascular surgery. Some participants return to NCVC as residents after graduation.
