FY2025 & FY2026 National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Fellow Applications
Objective
The program aims to accept creative young researchers and promote research at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Institute.
Research Description
The research topics shall be the research conducted at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Institute.

Several starting in either 2025 or 2026 financial years
Qualification requirements
Persons who meet any of the following conditions at the commencement date:
- Based on the School Education Act (Act No.26 of 1947), persons awarded a doctoral degree.
- Persons awarded a doctoral degree or equivalent from an overseas university.
- Persons holding a medical license and are enrolled in a university doctoral program.

Bring or mail the following documents to the Center (use registered mail or other mail with a delivery record when mailing).

c. Publications, Presentations, Awards, (using the designated Excel forms for documents listed in a) to c).

d. A copy of the medical license (*applicable persons only)
e. Certificate of graduation or certificate of expected graduation (doctoral or master’s degree)

a. Please send an initial enquiry email to kenzim[at]ml.ncvc.go.jp (replace [at] with @).
An application file will be sent by return email to the enquiry email address.
b. The above application materials a-e in that order should be compiled in a single pdf file under 10MB with password protection set using a password provided by us.
c. Send the above pdf file as an attachment to the email address stated at ‘a’.
d. In the event that the pdf file is greater than 10MB, split the files and send as attachments in several emails.
e. Applications received at the administration email will be acknowledged by return email.
Please contact the same administration email at ‘a’ if a return acknowledgment is not received within three business working days. - Application deadline
The application documents must arrive by Jun 27th (Friday), 2025 for both FY2025 and FY2026 rounds.
Screening method
Primary screening – document screening
Secondary screening – interview (only applicants who passed the primary screening)
Date of secondary screening
July 10th (Thursday), 2025 (*proposed date) for both FY2025 and FY2026 rounds.
Persons who passed the primary screening shall be notified separately.
Announcement of the screening results
The persons who passed the screening for both FY2025 and FY2026 rounds shall receive a notice in late July 2025.
Scheduled employment date
FY2025 round start October 1st, 2025
FY2026 round start April 1st, 2026
(Note, it may be changed in consideration of overseas applicants)
Employment period
The person may be re-employed for a maximum period of three years based on the results of an annual assessment.
