Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery

In the Division of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery, we offer surgical treatment for congenital heart diseases or pediatric cardiovascular diseases. For congenital heart diseases, we are capable of all surgical treatment, from newborn babies to adults, including all lesions in the late stage after surgery. In particular, in the field of treatment of complex congenital heart diseases, we have performed approximately 7,500 on-pump operations and more than 900 operations on neonates since the establishment of the Center in 1978. We have worked under a treatment system that operates fully in tandem with the Division of Pediatric Cardiology ever since the Center was established. It is a system that can respond to patients' needs 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
