小児心臓外科部では先天性心疾患全般にわたっての外科治療を行って。 新生児および成人になった先天性心疾患の患者の手術方法の改善、生存及び長期遠隔期における生活の質の向上を目標としています。

1. 単心室症のTCPC手術への到達率の向上への治療戦略。
2. 左心低形成症候群の体系的治療。
3. Ebsteinに対するCone reconstructionの中期成績の検討
4. 新生児機械的循環補助装置の長期使用に関する管理指針
5. 先天性心疾患手術教育のためのツール作り。
6. 末期重症心不全に対する左心補助人工心臓療法
7. ファロー四徴症の超遠隔期における再手術適応

• 重症大動脈狭窄症に対する外科治療介入後の左心機能、特に手術介入の時期に関する検討についてAnnals of Thoracic Surgery に発表。
• 房室錯位、肺動脈狭窄症に対する解剖学的根治術（ダブルスイッチ手術）の遠隔成績からみた手術適応の検討をAnnals of Thoracic Surgery に発表。
• 総肺静脈還流異常を伴った単心室症の遠隔成績をヨーロッパ胸部心臓外科学会雑誌（European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery）に発表。
• 新生児・乳幼児に対するECMOの長期使用の経験についてJ Artificial Organに発表。
• 教育ツールの作成（動画作成）のための眼鏡装着型術野Full High Visionカメラの開発および製品化、関連特許の申請。
