Physician of Cerebrovascular Medicine

Employment Details

The Department considers cerebrovascular dysfunction as a systemic vascular disease, and conducts research and diagnosis considering a variety of perspectives, including neurology, cardiovascular pathology, and emergency medicine. The candidate must be willing to provide acute stroke care, diagnose and conduct research on cerebrovascular and neurological dysfunction, train fellow physicians, and actively communicate research results. The candidate must possess a stroke specialist designation from The Japan Stroke Society or a neurology specialist designation from the Japanese Society of Neurology. A candidate with a Doctor of Medical Science degree is preferred.

Employment Start Date (term of office)

April 1, 2019 (negotiations possible)
Term of office is five (5) years from start date (renewals possible based on performance)

    Clearly distinguish between original articles, case reports, review articles, and books by year.
    Limit conference presentations to special or invited lectures, and symposia presentations.
    Choose three (3) original articles and attach one (1) reprint and six (6) copies of each publication.

  6. Copy of proof of clinical training program completion (for those who obtained their medical license after April 2004)

Salary and benefits

  • Salary: paid in accordance with the regulations of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center
  • Eligibility for raise: once annually
  • Eligibility for bonus: twice annually (in June and December)
  • Allowances: transportation/commute, lodging, dependent support, etc.
  • Employment terms: five (5)-day work week
  • Vacations: annual paid leave 20 days; special leave allowed for summer holidays, weddings, and before/after birth of a child
  • Severance pay: eligible if departing after six (6) months of employment
  • Other benefits: health, life insurance, labor insurance
