Employment Details

The Director will lead the Department of Advanced Medical Research for Pulmonary Hypertension. The primary duties include diagnosing pulmonary hypertension, conducting advanced medical research and developing new treatments for pulmonary hypertension, and managing and training a team. In order to achieve these goals, the following tasks will be expected: 1) Elucidating the cause and pathology of pulmonary hypertension and promoting advanced medical research on new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including clinical application of such research results. 2) Conducting seminars/lectures on pulmonary hypertension focused on diagnosis and treatment or research findings, as well as other educational activities. 3) Hosting an annual presentation of research results.

Term of office is three (3) years from start date

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Must have adequate knowledge and experience to understand basic research and clinical pathology of pulmonary hypertension
  2. Must have a perspective necessary to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, and apply them in a clinical setting
  3. Must have an ability and desire to actively collaborate with various departments of NCVC, including those in the Hospital, Research Institute, and the Open Innovation Center
  4. Must have the perception and personality required for a Director role
  5. Must have superior managerial skills and ability to lead a team
  6. Must have a PhD or equivalent degree and or research experience
  7. Must satisfy all of the abovementioned criteria

    Clearly distinguish between original articles, case reports, review articles, and books by year.
    Limit conference presentations to special or invited lectures, and symposia presentations.
    Choose three (3) original articles and attach one (1) reprint and six (6) copies of each publication.

  5. Copy of medical license
  6. Copy of proof of clinical training program completion (for those who obtained their medical license after April 2004)
  7. Copy of proof of graduation from university
  8. Copy of university diploma (Master, PhD)
  9. Copy of proof of appointment as a specialist, certified physician, or medical advisor

Salary and benefits

  • Salary: paid in accordance with the regulations of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center
  • Eligibility for raise: once annually
  • Eligibility for bonus: twice annually (in June and December)
  • Allowances: transportation/commute, lodging, dependent support, etc.
  • Employment terms: five (5)-day work week
  • Vacations: annual paid leave 20 days; special leave allowed for summer holidays, weddings, and before/after birth of a child
  • Severance pay: eligible if departing after six (6) months of employment
  • Other benefits: health, life insurance, labor insurance
