Employment Details

The Division of Cerebrovascular Medicine is involved in treatment and research related to cerebrovascular dysfunction as a systemic vascular disease, using multifaceted perspectives including neurology, cardiovascular disease, and emergency medicine. We are seeking a Chief Physician who can proactively lead treatment and research of cerebrovascular dysfunction, including acute stroke, and be willing to contribute to the development of the Japan Stroke Data Bank. The candidate must be a stroke specialist recognized by the Japan Stroke Society or a neurologist recognized by the Japanese Society of Neurology. A Doctor of Medical Science degree is strongly preferred.

June 1, 2019 (negotiations possible)
Term of office is five (5) years from start date (renewals possible based on performance)

  6. Copy of proof of clinical training program completion (for those who obtained their medical license after April 2004)
  7. Copy of proof of graduation from university

Salary and benefits

  • Salary: paid in accordance with the regulations of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center
  • Eligibility for raise: once annually
  • Eligibility for bonus: twice annually (in June and December)
  • Allowances: transportation/commute, lodging, dependent support, etc.
  • Employment terms: five (5)-day work week
  • Vacations: annual paid leave 20 days; special leave allowed for summer holidays, weddings, and before/after birth of a child
  • Severance pay: eligible if departing after six (6) months of employment
  • Other benefits: health, life insurance, labor insurance
